What you'll need:
For the bigger roll...
1. Part your hair [slightly] diagonally on the right and grab a couple inches. I keep my big roll on the left side. Before you start step two, spritz the piece of hair you are going to use with hairspray, then brush through it. This should promote a stronger/stiffer hold.

2. Depending on how big you want it will determine how many fingers you want to use. I typically use two, but if I want it extra big, I use three. In this picture, I am starting to bring the hair down to pin by placing the hair in between my index and middle finger, and using my thumb to support the tail where I will pin the hair.

3. While still using your thumb to support the tail, with your index and middle finger shaping the roll, bring your hair all the way down to pin. The tail of your hair that isn't rolled will blend in with the rest of your hair, so you do not need to worry about it.

^The final pinning. I only use 1-2 bobby pins. If you use too many it's overwhelming.
For the smaller roll...
5. Start off with a handful of hair, less than the amount you used for your big roll.

6. Using your index finger, middle finger and thumb, bring the hair down. The hair should be between your middle finger and index finger with your thumb supporting the tail where your hair will be pinned.

^Place the bobby pin where the red arrow suggests.

7. To be sure I have my rolls in their desired place, I line up the tip of the two rolls with the part in my hair.

8. Pin in your favorite flower and you're set!

Oh and just in case you are wondering, this is how long my hair is:

Yes, this style works with short hair. The only difference is you won't have a long tail of hair behind the roll. Instead you will tuck the hair under and then pin it in place.

It's done the same one, just further apart.
- Strong holding hair spray- I use Aquanet.
- 2-4 bobby pins- I usually use 2, but if I don't feel the hold is strong enough, I'll use 4.
- A bristle brush- I don't use a comb because it usually promotes gaping.
